BRI/PRI lines are not working

Problem

beronet Gateway SB 2S02FXS that BRI2 is not working.
During troubleshooting he tried different settings but the line was never going up.
He then switched lines on BRI1 and BRI2 and again BRI2 is not working.


Solution

Perform a loopback test. To do this, set the two ports to PTP and one port to NT and one to TE (webinterface/hardware). Connect both ports via an RJ45 network cable. If you are dealing with PRI ports, you need a crossed cable.
Save these settings and press the ACTIVATE button. After the reboot, check webinterface/management/state. If all 4 LEDs of the connected ports are shown in green the ports are ok. If not, it may be a broken port.
