How to use CLEARMODE

How to use CLEARMODE

The beroNet Gateway can transmit data calls without modifying the audio (Echocancellation, Jitter Compensation or Codec translation) to a VoIP carrier with the CLEARMODE or CLEARCHANNEL (RFC4040) feature.

To use CLEARMODE a Dialplan rule from ISDN (or analog) to SIP must be created. Click on "more options".

All "Allowed codecs" have to be deactivated in the "SIP"-menu by selecting them and clicking on the "Del→" button.

The CLEARMODE codec can be activated by selecting it in the "Available codecs" tab and clicking on the "←Add" button.

If the destination is another beroNet Gateway, it needs a Dialplan rule from SIP to ISDN (or analog) with the same settings as shown above.
