In a hunt group configuration, the DIDs of each line are linked to one main DID. When one line is called, the provider links it to the "main" trunk. The configuration is then easier in the gateway: each analog port can be added in a single group of ports with one CLIP. The group of ports is then connected to the IPBX via a single SIP trunk. Finally only two dialplan Dialplan rules need to be created. The configuration is very similar to the set up of ISDN lines via a beroNet VoIP gatewayGateway.

PSTN Configuration

Navigate to "PSTN+ → Analog FXO" and click on "Add". Depending on the configuration scenario you set up, you will have to choose either one or all the FXO ports in the group configuration.

In the port configuration, only a few information need to be configured. I will explain the needed fields here. In order to know more about the rest of the settings, check: 1.3 beroNet OS Web Interface (VoIP Gateways & Cards).

  • Group name: Name of the group of port. Important to set a good name as it will be used in the dialplanDialplan
  • Ports: ports you wish to add to your group of ports: either one for a single trunk configuration or all of them for the hunt group.
  • CLIP: number allocated to the analog line plugged in the configured port. When receiving a call, this will be the number that the caller will have dialed. In the CLIP, you need to enter the number in the format the IPBX is expecting to receive as DID. In a hunt group scenario, you need to enter the main DID that gathers each line. In a single port configuration, you need to enter each DID of each line.
