Read this before installing the 23.01 Firmware!

This latest release includes new TLS improvements, improved logging mechanisms, bugfixes and most importantly a more robust firmware updating mechanism to ensure that nothing can go wrong while patching. Refer to the full changelog here: https://beronet.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PUB/pages/51085429

You will need to install a stable firmware with the new installation process in order to continue upgrading to firmware version 23.01.

Please note that the installation process varies depending on the firmware version you are currently using.

Upgrading from a 20.XX or below version

When updating from a 20.XX or below, install the 20.06 first to have the new update mechanism.

Upgrading from a 21.XX Firmware

When updating from a 21.XX, install the 21.03 first to have the new update mechanism installed as they include the new update mechanism already.

Beta / Release Candidate Firmwares starting at 21.03-rc51 or 21.02.03-rc16 can already install the 23.01 as they include the new update mechanism already.

You can find your current firmware version in the beroGUI:
Management → Info → appfs Version

Additional information

Please note that the firmware update process may take some time, and it is important that you do not turn off or disconnect your device during the update process. Doing so may result in irreversible damage to your device.

Also note that downgrading to an earlier firmware version will not be supported anymore. It is only possible by flashing the entire storage.
