How to use the Causes Map
The causes map allow to modify the Disconnect Cause Value in case a call could not be established. Calls can't be established by number of reasons which originate either from:
- the Gateway directly
- the SIP Endpoint
- the ISDN Endpoint
- the Analog Endpoint
In the causes map you can define where the original cause came from and which cause should be generated to the incoming caller. In this way you can change the default behaviour of cause mapping.
Let's say you disable T38 in the GUI and want to modify which SIP Status is returned. Since the 16.12 Firmware the gateway has an internal cause 917 which means T38 offer not acceptable. You can now define which to-cause should be send to SIP:
